Did you know that 73% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the home? And yet only 40% of victims receive bystander CPR.
Attend this session to learn hands-only CPR, the method developed and promoted by the American Heart Association. One of our presenters, Ginny Russel Curley will share her life saving story and facilitate this afternoon of education.
In this one hour session you will:
1) learn how to assess a situation for if appropriate for CPR
2) practice the steps to take before administering CPR
3) practice delivering chest compressions
4) discuss the steps to operate an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator).
This is open to adults and teens.
