Here's a tip from Wine Folly:How Long opened Red Wine will last? 3–5 days in a cool, dark place with a cork. The more tannin and acidity the red wine has, the longer it lasts after opening. So, a light red with very little tannin, such as Pinot Noir, won’t last open as long as a rich red like Petite Syrah. Some wines will even improve after the first day of opening. Store open red wines in a chiller or a dark, cool place after opening them. If you don’t have a chiller, your fridge is the next best.

Mad Honey (formerly The Beehive Band) will perform a Spring show at Rich Harvest Winery. Please treat yourself to their beautiful harmonies!
This will be a free live music event.
Expect the theme to include Special pricing on Mead, and other honey based foods! We began performing together as a trio in 2017, after a chance performance opportunity.   Our vocal blend, akin to Parton, Harris, and Ronstadt, is the core of the ensemble and what started as three classically-trained voices with guitar has expanded to include multiple instruments and additional players – friends of the band who buzz in and out as their schedules allow.

Our cover set list includes music from all genres, reimagined for our unique sound, and often focusing on women’s issues, perspectives, and voices.  A friend has said, “Mad Honey is what would happen if Alanis Morisette and John Denver had triplets.”  An apt description!  We also have a small list of original works by Amy, that center on stories of women’s mid-life and love, and rely heavily on trio harmonies. Brenda Stursma, Emily Wadhams, and Amy Luckenbill are the core vocalists and play a variety of instruments.  We rely heavily on Kyle Knapp’s lead guitar, Sam Perkins’ gorgeously improvised violin, and Greg Ahl’s inventive rhythmic foundation.
